Sync with Google Business Profile was unsuccessful

In order to successfully sync your business information with Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business), your website address on Trustpilot has to match the one on Google Business Profile.

If they aren’t matching, it’s usually due to one of the following reasons:

  • The website address on Google Business Profile is missing.
  • The website address is misspelled or the endings are incorrect. An example of this would be: your website address is listed as on Trustpilot, but listed as on Google Business Profile.

How to check if your website addresses match

In Trustpilot Business, go to Settings > Profile page.

The website address you see here is the one listed on Trustpilot. Check that it matches the one listed on Google Business Profile. To do this:

Go to your Google Business Profile account and click the Info tab. Next to the globe icon, you’ll see the website address you’ve listed there.

  • If there’s no website address listed at all, simply enter the address that matches the one on Trustpilot.
  • If there's a website address listed, but it's different from what's on Trustpilot, edit the address on Google Business Profile to match the one listed on Trustpilot.

What if I update and it still doesn’t sync?

Sometimes the changes don’t get updated in Google immediately. Until Google Business Profile returns the updated website address, you won’t be able to sync your business details. We recommend waiting a bit and giving it a try again later.
