TrustBox widgets allow you to showcase your reviews and TrustScore on your website and marketing materials. To make sure you’re getting the most out of them, choose the right ones and place them where your customers will see them.
After you’ve chosen your widget, the next step is to consider where on your website it should be placed. Not all placements are created equally - it’s important to make sure that you’re choosing a spot that will have the maximum impact and lead to the most impressions. Here’s some of our top suggestions of where you should consider adding a widget.
Headers & footers
A great place to start is with the headers and/or footers of your website. Headers and footers are consistent across your site, which means that the widget will be seen on all pages that display your header and footer. On top of that, this is usually where you place important information about your business, so they’re areas that naturally get a lot of attention.
Conversion pages
Another really effective placement for widgets is on conversion pages. These are pages of your website that a user reaches after performing a valuable action, such as a checkout page or a sign up page. This works because it allows you to appeal to potential customers at a stage in the conversion funnel where you’ve already captured their attention, but may need to give them that extra reassurance required to make a purchasing decision.
Landing pages
Next up are landing pages. Widgets are a great addition when prominently placed on landing pages like your homepage, about us page, or contact us page. These are typically your most popular pages, so they’re high traffic areas that tend to get seen and often rank high in search engine results. Place a widget on these highly frequented pages, so it can be seen by as many potential customers as possible.
Dedicated reviews page
Last, but most definitely not least, is a dedicated reviews page. While it’s great to place widgets throughout your site on different pages of the user journey, a page dedicated solely to your reviews is highly effective and allows potential customers to read your reviews without having to leave your site. Many users check online reviews before making a purchase, so creating a page dedicated to sharing your reviews instills trust and credibility.
Don't forget...
Above all, it’s important that you place your widget prominently, where it will be seen. Placing a widget somewhere that's hidden or easy to miss reduces it’s effectiveness and may weaken its impact in search results if you’re using it to get rich snippets.
