Trustpilot's Magento 1 integration: Send review invitations

This feature is included in the Free plan

Get started now

With our Magento 1 integration you can automate your review collection, invite customers to write reviews, and add TrustBox widgets to your site. It supports Magento versions 1.7, 1.8, and 1.9. Learn how to send review invitations here.

Before you can set up your review invitations, you’ll need to install our Magento 1 integration.

Note: We don’t currently have a sandbox environment available for testing purposes. This integration is not compatible with Internet Explorer.

Set up invitations

An order from your Magento web store automatically triggers an email invitation to your customer to write a service review on Trustpilot. Here’s how to configure the email settings:

  1. In Magento, click the Trustpilot tab.
  1. Under Invitations, you can configure your Sender name, reply-to email, Trustpilot landing page, and Send delay. You can also choose different language settings for your individual websites.
  2. You can also configure the invitation trigger by choosing between two options. Order confirmed sends an invitation to customers when Magento is processing their order. Order completed sends an invitation when their order is completed.
  3. Click Save changes.

Include product review invitations

If you use Trustpilot’s product reviews for your business, you can turn on the option to include them in your invitation emails.

  1. In Magento, click the Trustpilot tab.
  1. Under Product Reviews, enable the Turn product review invitations on toggle.
  2. Fill in the SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) to let us know where you are saving your SKUs.
  3. Fill in the GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) and MPN (Manufacturer Part Number). These fields are optional.
  4. Click Save changes.

Invite customers

You can choose to invite customers from the last 7 days to 6 months ago.

  1. In Magento, click the Trustpilot tab.
  2. Under Past Orders, choose the period you want.
  1. Click Sync up orders to save.
  2. You can view synced orders after you save. If there are any that failed to sync, you’ll see them at the bottom of the page. To try again, click Re-sync.

Next, you can add a TrustBox to display your reviews in your Magento 1 store.
