​Removal of support for Internet Explorer 11

As of February 1, 2020, Trustpilot no longer supports Internet Explorer 11.

From this date, your Trustpilot Business Account may no longer work in Internet Explorer. If you currently use Internet Explorer 11, we recommend you switch to Microsoft Edge or another supported browser.

Note: This change doesn't affect Trustpilot.com.

What does this mean?

After February 1, the Trustpilot Business platform is no longer supported in Internet Explorer. As Trustpilot.com is not affected, reviewers can still leave a review and access Company Profile Pages through trustpilot.com. However, businesses can't access their Trustpilot Business Account through Internet Explorer.

Why is Trustpilot removing support?

In 2015, Microsoft released the Edge browser as a replacement for Internet Explorer. As a result, Internet Explorer no longer receives major updates with security fixes or new functionalities that support complex web applications like Trustpilot’s Business platform. Microsoft recommends only using Internet Explorer 11 for compatibility with old websites and warns against the perils of using Internet Explorer 11 as a default browser.

Our goal is to deliver value and high-quality products to our customers. Therefore, we want to spend our time and resources on improving our products in more recent browsers.

Very few Trustpilot customers use Internet Explorer 11 to access their Business Account, so by removing support, we can concentrate our efforts on browsers with the latest functionalities to benefit as many customers as possible.

What do I need to do?

If your default browser is Internet Explorer and you have a shortcut to the Trustpilot Business page on your desktop, you will have to update your default browser to another browser.

If your default browser is Internet Explorer and you use bookmarks to access the Trustpilot Business page, then you will have to recreate those bookmarks in another browser.
