Trustpilot's Mailchimp integration
Our Mailchimp integration allows you to showcase your Trustpilot stars, ratings, and reviews directly in your Mailchimp newsletters, using a dynamic widget. Here's how to set it up.
Connect Trustpilot with Mailchimp
To get started, follow these steps to authorize permission for Trustpilot to connect with Mailchimp:
-
In Trustpilot Business, go to Integrations > Marketing > Mailchimp.
-
Click Get Started.
-
Log into your Mailchimp account.
-
Click Allow to complete.
Customize your widget
After you've connected Trustpilot with Mailchimp, you can add a newsletter widget to your campaigns. While you’re customizing your settings, you’ll see a dynamic preview of the widget. Here’s how to customize it:
-
In Trustpilot Business, go to Integrations > Marketing > Mailchimp.
-
On the right side menu, you’ll see your Settings. Under Filter by review type, choose the type of reviews you’d like featured in your widget.
-
If you select product reviews, under Product SKU, enter one or multiple Product SKUs, separated by commas.
-
-
Under Filter by content, choose from the available options to select what criteria you'd like to apply. A selection of reviews that match this criteria will be displayed in your widget.
-
You can continue customizing your widget by using the filtering options under Filter by star rating and Select number of reviews to show.
-
All changes are saved automatically.
Only one widget can be used at a time. Changes to your widget settings will be applied to all email campaigns displaying the widget.
Add the widget to your Mailchimp campaign
Once you’ve customized your email widget, you can add it to your Mailchimp campaign.
The widget must be inserted into an existing campaign. It won’t function properly if added to an email template.
-
In Mailchimp, click Campaigns.
-
Select a campaign to edit.
-
Under Content, click Edit to make changes to the email template.
-
Select a Code block and place it where desired.
-
Go to the Mailchimp page in Trustpilot Business. Under Review feed code, click Copy code.
-
Go back to the Mailchimp campaign editor and paste the code into the code text box. Click Save & Close.
-
The widget should appear as code in the campaign editor. To see how the widget looks, click Preview and Enter preview mode.
-
Configure the rest of your Mailchimp campaign as desired, and you’re all set!
