Manage your business locations
Trustpilot location reviews help you collect, manage, and display reviews for all your business’s individual locations.
To collect location reviews, you must first create the individual locations in Trustpilot Business.
It’s possible to add new locations at any time. You can add them one at a time or in bulk.
Add multiple locations
The easiest way to add multiple locations is to import them in a CSV file.
-
In Trustpilot Business, go to Settings > Public profile settings > Locations.
-
Click Import locations. If you’ve already set up a location before, this button is called Import Multiple Locations.
-
Upload a CSV file with these location-specific fields in the following order:
- Location name
- ID (this will be used when inviting customers to review the specific location)
- Street address
- Street address 2
- ZIP code
- City
- State/Province/Region
- Country code
- Phone number
- Website
Learn how to create this file here.
The correct COUNTRY CODE for the United Kingdom is GB.
-
Check your CSV file to make sure that the location names follow our naming guidelines.
-
Upload your CSV file, then review the information to make sure that your locations are uploaded correctly. If there are any errors, update the information.
-
Select the check box to confirm that you've read and followed our guidelines, then click Confirm the import.
Add a single location
-
In Trustpilot Business, go to Settings > Public profile settings > Locations.
-
Click Add locations manually. If you’ve already set up a location before, this button is called Add one location.
-
On the Add one location page, fill in your location's information.
-
Click Add location.
Location naming guidelines
Location names are public, so keep them simple, clear, and descriptive. This will help you keep track of your locations and help reviewers find the right location to review. Here’s what we’ve found works best:
Each location name should be unique.
- Do: Use short, descriptive names like "Copenhagen", or "London, Baker Street Shop"
- Don't: Use vague names like “London1” or “London2”
Avoid using your company’s name in the location name. It’s already included in the URL and page headers.
- Do: Name a location "Amsterdam"
- Don't: Name a location "CompanyX – Amsterdam"
Avoid punctuation marks, non-letter characters, or marketing messages in the location name.
- Do: Name a location "Berlin"
- Don't: Name a location "street@berlin#buynowdiscount!1!"
Edit a location
-
In Trustpilot Business, go to Settings > Public profile settings > Locations.
-
Click the Edit button to the right of the location you’d like to edit.
-
You can edit the Location name, ID, location website, and all Contact information. You can also edit the Headline and Description for the location by choosing the options: Custom headline/description for this location.
-
Click Update.
- If you edit a location's ID, you might also need to update the code in your AFS setup, API invitations, or any TrustBox widgets you're using.
- The URL of your location’s profile page contains the location name. If you change your location name, make sure to update links referring to your location’s profile page accordingly.
Delete a location
When the location has no reviews
In this case, you can easily delete the location yourself!
-
In Trustpilot Business, go to Settings > Public profile settings > Locations.
-
Click the Edit button to the right of the location you’d like to delete.
-
Scroll to the bottom and click Remove.
When the location already has reviews
In this case, you'll need to ask us to delete the location. And we only delete locations that no longer exist.
Note that deleting a location won't delete its reviews — they'll still be visible on your business's main profile page.
-
In Trustpilot Business, go to Settings > Public profile settings > Locations.
-
Click on the Edit icon to the right of the location you’d like to delete.
-
Scroll to the bottom and click Request to remove. Tell us why you want to remove this location and click Send request. We'll review your request as soon as possible and let you know the outcome. If approved, the location will be removed.
