Manage multiple stores with Trustpilot’s Magento 2 integration

If you have multiple stores or domains on Magento 2, you can use our integration to collect and showcase reviews across all of them individually. This article shows you how to manage and configure them.

You can find our guide on how to install and use our Magento 2 integration here. There, we explain how to manage settings for all your Magento 2 stores at once. If you want to manage the settings for each of your stores individually, use the instructions in this guide instead.

Important note for inviting past customers

This integration doesn’t support the ability to invite past customers to review your stores/domains separately. If you use this setting, you'll be inviting all past customers across your stores/domains to review one of your Trustpilot domains. So don’t invite past customers to write reviews.

Configure an individual Magento 2 store or domain

Follow the steps below to configure an individual store/domain. Making changes by using the Trustpilot icon in the left-hand panel will affect all of your stores/domains.

  1. Once the Trustpilot integration has been installed, go to Stores > Configuration.

  1. Select Trustpilot in the Configuration menu.

  1. Next to Store View, use the drop-down menu to select your desired configuration for the Trustpilot integration. You can choose from the website level or store level.
    • If you choose Main Website, the Trustpilot settings will affect all stores in the main website.
    • If you choose a specific store within a website, the Trustpilot settings will only affect your chosen store.

  1. Use your Trustpilot Business credentials to log in. Select the Business Unit that corresponds to the store(s) you chose in Store View.

  1. Review the terms, select I understand and accept, then click Confirm.
  2. Configure the integration settings for the store/domain you’ve just selected. (Remember not to invite past customers to write reviews!) When you’re done, click Save Config.
  3. Now the integration is set up for the selected store/domain. Repeat steps 3-6 for your other Magento 2 websites / stores.

Disconnect a store or domain

Here’s how to disconnect a single store/domain without impacting the settings you have on other stores/domains:

  1. From Magento 2, go to Stores > Configuration.

  1. Select Trustpilot in the Configuration menu.

  1. Next to Store View, use the drop-down menu to select the store/domain that you want to disconnect.

  1. Use your Trustpilot Business credentials to log in. Click Settings.

  1. Click Clear the Integration Key, then click Save changes.

  1. Refresh the page. If you see a screen prompting you to select a Business Unit, the disconnection has been successful.

If you’re disconnecting a domain with multiple stores, the steps above should disconnect all the stores within the website. To check, click on each store individually under Store View.

  • If all the stores show a screen prompting you to select a Business Unit, this means it was successfully disconnected.
  • If a store is showing a different screen, it hasn’t been disconnected because this store was set up separately from the main website. To disconnect the store, repeat steps 3-6 while in this store view.
