Take the extra step to protect your Trustpilot Business account. Learn how to set up and manage 2-step verification in this article.
2-step verification allows Trustpilot to verify your identity with an extra security step. Once set up, you’ll be asked to provide a 6-digit verification code each time you log in or change the email or password registered to your account.
Codes are sent via text message. For security reasons, each code is unique and expires after 60 seconds.
Set up the verification

In Trustpilot Business, go to Settings > Personal settings > My details.

Under Security settings, click Add 2-step verification.

Enter your password in the dialog box, then click Continue.

Enter your phone number in the next dialog box, then click Add. This triggers a text message from us to verify your phone number with a 6-digit code. Be sure to include your phone number’s country code.

Check your phone for the text message. In the Verify your phone number dialog box, enter the 6-digit code you received. Click Verify to confirm.
Log in with the verification
Once you’ve set up the verification, you’ll need both the 6-digit code and your account details to log in.

Go to the Trustpilot Business login page. Enter your account details to Log in. This triggers a text message from us with a 6-digit code.

Check your phone for the text message. Enter the code you received, then click Log in.
You won’t need to use the verification again unless you log out of your Trustpilot Business account.
Remove the verification
Don’t want to use 2-step verification anymore? No problem. If you change your mind, you can set it up again at any time.

In Trustpilot Business, go to Settings > Personal settings > My details.

Under Security settings, click Remove next to 2-step verification.

Enter your password in the dialog box, then click Remove. This triggers a text message from us to verify the removal with a 6-digit code.

Check your phone for the text message. Enter the 6-digit code you received. Click Verify to confirm. A confirmation message will appear.
Account recovery with the verification
Lost access to your phone or can’t receive the verification code via text message? You’ll need to go through a recovery flow in order to access your account again. From the Trustpilot Business login page, enter your account details to Log in, then click Can’t access your phone?
