To ensure that Trustpilot has as many genuine and constructive reviews as possible, we allow businesses to flag reviews they believe are in breach of our guidelines.

To avoid misuse of the flagging function and maintain a balanced platform, Trustpilot investigates every flagged review, and only removes those that do violate our guidelines.

Where can I see a business’s flagging activities?

The Company activity page gives an overview of how that business has used Trustpilot over the past 12 months, including all of its flagging activities. You can find it by heading to their profile page and clicking See all in the Company activity module:

Which flagging data is displayed?

Reviews flagged

The total number of reviews flagged by the business in the past 12 months.

Invalid reports

The percentage of flagged reviews that didn't actually breach our guidelines for the reason(s) selected by the business.

Star rating of flagged reviews

The number of positive and negative reviews the business has flagged.

Flagged reviews placed back online by Trustpilot

The number of reviews that were flagged by the business, investigated by Trustpilot, and subsequently placed back online, because:

  • The reviews weren't in breach of Trustpilot’s guidelines for the selected reason(s).
  • The reviewer resolved the breach of Trustpilot’s guidelines.

Flagged reviews removed by Trustpilot

The number of reviews that were flagged by the business, investigated by Trustpilot, and subsequently removed for being in breach of our guidelines, because:

  • The reviewer didn’t respond to Trustpilot’s request to resolve the breach of Trustpilot’s guidelines.
  • The reviewer didn’t resolve the breach of Trustpilot’s guidelines.
