To ensure that Trustpilot has as many genuine and constructive reviews as possible, we allow businesses to flag reviews they believe don't follow our guidelines.

To avoid misuse of the flagging function and maintain a balanced platform, Trustpilot assesses every flagged review, and only takes offline those that go against our guidelines.

Where can I see a business’s flagging activities?

The Company activity page gives an overview of how that business has used Trustpilot over the past 12 months, including all of its flagging activities. You can find it by heading to their profile page and clicking How this company uses Trustpilot:

Which flagging data is displayed?

Flagging activity

How frequently the business flagged their reviews in the past 12 months. 

Invalid cases

The percentage of flagged reviews that didn't actually go against our guidelines for the reason(s) selected by the business.

Distribution of flagged reviews by star rating

The number of positive and negative reviews the business has flagged.

Flagged reviews still online on Trustpilot

The number of reviews that were flagged by the business, assessed by Trustpilot, and subsequently placed back online, because:

  • The reviews weren't in breach of Trustpilot’s guidelines for the selected reason(s).
  • The reviewer resolved the breach of Trustpilot’s guidelines.

Flagged reviews removed from Trustpilot

The number of reviews that were flagged by the business, assessed by Trustpilot, and subsequently taken offline for not following our guidelines, because:

  • The reviewer didn’t respond to Trustpilot’s request to resolve the breach of Trustpilot’s guidelines.
  • The reviewer didn’t resolve the breach of Trustpilot’s guidelines.
