As the administrator of your Trustpilot Business account, you can assign roles to your teammates, set permissions, and decide what level of access you want to grant each user.
This article is only relevant if you are on a paid plan, as the Free plan only allows 1 user per domain. The number of users allowed per domain depends on your plan:
- Free: 1 user
- Plus: 3 users
- Premium: 10 users
- Advanced: 20 users
- Enterprise: 1000 users
Roles and Permissions Overview
Each user that you add to your account will have to be given one of the following roles:
- Admin - Allows a user to do anything in Trustpilot Business, including managing account settings. This user has access to all domains under the business's account.
- Manager - Allows a user to fully manage assigned domains. This user, however, cannot see account settings.
- Review manager - Allows a user to manage reviews for specific domains and/or locations. This user can also add widgets.
For a full breakdown of account roles and their permissions, see the table below:
Permission | Admin | Manager | Review manager |
Manage reviews Reply, flag, tag, export |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
Manage invitations settings | ✓ | ✓
Set up integrations | ✓ | ||
Showcase reviews TrustBox widgets, Marketing Assets, etc. |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
Analytics | ✓ | ✓ | Only available for users not limited to locations |
Manage account settings Billing information, account details, user management, API |
✓ | ||
Manage public profile settings | ✓ | ✓
Manage personal profile settings Personal account + email notifications |
✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
For businesses with locations, the Admin can limit the Review Manager’s access to a domain only, without granting permission to locations. This user would manage all reviews not associated with a location; for example, online orders.
Add or remove a user
It's simple to add or remove multiple users to your Trustpilot Business account. You can also assign roles and control access permission.
Add a user
You may want several people within your company to have access to your Trustpilot Business account. Someone may be responsible for uploading customer data, while another person is in charge of replying to reviews. Here's how to do it.
-
In Trustpilot Business, go to Settings > Business settings > Users. Click the Invite a new user button.
-
Enter the new user's email address. Choose a language from the drop-down, then select the role and domains/locations that the user can access. When you're done, click Invite user.
-
The user will receive a verification email. They'll need to open the message and click Set up your account.
-
The user will need to set a password and accept the Terms and Conditions, then click the Complete setup button.
Remove a user
Removing a user is only possible if you're an Admin AND if you have access to all domains under a business account.
-
In Trustpilot Business, go to Settings > Business settings > Users.
-
Click on the user's name. Click Remove access at the bottom of the panel.
-
If you don't see the Remove access button under Domains, then uncheck all the domains. Click Update.
