Include a legal notice in your invitations
We have a legal notice feature that allows you to automatically display your business's legal information in the footer of all your review invitations. Here's how to set it up.
What's a legal notice?
A legal notice contains the business information that you're legally required to include in some commercial content.
To be compliant with the CAN-SPAM Act and other messaging laws, simply enable the feature, and your legal notice will be shown in the footer of all your invitations.
Do I have to include a legal notice?
In many places, including the US, UK and the EU, it’s mandatory to include a legal notice in all commercial content. Even if this isn’t the case in your country, we strongly recommend you add one anyway! Doing so makes it easy for consumers to see exactly where invitations are coming from.
How to set it up
-
In Trustpilot Business, go to Settings > Invitation settings, and select Legal notice.
-
Enable the toggle button to say YES.
-
Enter your business’s relevant information in the fields and click Save changes.
Your legal notice will now be displayed in the footer of all your invitations. This only works with Trustpilot's optimized templates. If you're using a custom template, you'll have to enter your legal notice manually. To do this, add the required information in the footer of your HTML source code.
