In this article, you’ll learn how to include a legal notice in your invitation template and why you should include one.
What is a legal notice?
A legal notice is the specific company information that you are legally required to include in commercial content. We’ve built a legal notice feature that allows you to automatically display this information in the footer of all your invitations.
Do I have to include a legal notice?
In a number of countries, it’s required to include a legal notice in all commercial content. Even if this isn’t the case in your country, we strongly recommend you add one anyway. Doing so supports trust and transparency, and makes it easy for consumers to see exactly where invitations are coming from.
How to set it up
- In Trustpilot Business, go to Get Reviews > Invitation Settings, and select Legal notice.
- Enable the toggle button to say YES.
- Enter your business’s relevant information in the fields and click Save changes.
Your legal notice will now be displayed in the footer of all your invitations. This only works with Trustpilot's optimized templates. If you're using a custom template, you'll have to enter your legal notice manually. To do this, add the required information in the footer of your HTML source code.
