How to unsubscribe from Trustpilot emails and review invitations

Trustpilot is committed to transparency. Read the Transparency Report 2024.

We only want to send you emails that you want to receive, so we've included an unsubscribe link in most of our emails. But there are some messages we must be able to send you — for example, emails about forgotten passwords or account information messages.

What kinds of emails can I unsubscribe from?

You can unsubscribe from any marketing emails we send you, such as updates about the latest Trustpilot news and tips, by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.

You can also choose which types of emails you’d like to receive by adjusting your Trustpilot user account settings:

  1. Log into Trustpilot.com
  2. Under your user icon in the top right-hand corner, select My Settings from the drop-down menu
  3. Scroll down to Email settings and select your preferences
  4. Select Save

Resubscribe

Accidents happen. If you've clicked the unsubscribe link in an email by mistake and want to opt back in immediately, click the resubscribe button in the onscreen confirmation message.

You can also resubscribe directly from your Trustpilot user account:

    1. Log into Trustpilot.com
    2. Under your user icon in the top right-hand corner, select My Settings from the drop-down menu.
    3. Scroll down to Email settings and select your preferences.
    4. Select Save.

Which emails can't I unsubscribe from?

You can't unsubscribe from account- and service-related emails because we need to make sure you receive these important emails. For example, if you ever forget your password and need to reset it, we need to be able to send you a message so we can help you.

This also includes the emails you get when you sign up to Trustpilot or write a review for the first time. Your first email from us contains login details and important information about how you can set up your account.

If you don't want to receive any account- or service-related emails at all, you can delete your Trustpilot account and your reviews.

Review invitation emails

If you’ve been sent invitations to write reviews on Trustpilot from businesses that use our services, or from us on their behalf, those businesses will be the data controllers responsible for those invitations and for any personal data associated with them, and Trustpilot will be a data processor.

If you want to stop businesses from sending review invitations using Trustpilot services, you can do so via the unsubscribe link in the review invitation email. When you click on the unsubscribe link you'll have two options — unsubscribe from future review invitations from the specific business that sent you the invitation, or block review invitations from all businesses using Trustpilot.

You also have an option to block all businesses from sending review invitations by adjusting your settings within your Trustpilot user account (please follow the instructions above) or by contacting us here.

We're only able to block you from review invitations sent by business using Trustpilot's automated systems. Businesses may still be able to send you invitations through their own systems. If you want to unsubscribe from those invitations, you should follow the instructions provided by the business within the review invitation email.
