When you create a Trustpilot account, depending on how you sign up, your profile may not have a picture. If you want to, you can upload or change your picture easily.
How do I change my picture?
- Log in, using the email address and password you used to set up your account
If you wrote your review in response to an invitation, an account was created for you when you chose to publish your review and we sent you a welcome email at the time. This means you can log in to your account and edit your username and account settings.
To access your profile, click the link in the welcome email or find the email address where you received the invite and use it to ask for a new password. Now use your login details to follow the guide beneath.
- Click on your profile icon, in the top right of the screen
- Select My settings from the drop-down list
- Click the button labeled Upload a new profile picture
- A new window will appear. Select the picture you wish to use, and click Open
Note: Once uploaded, it may take up to 20 minutes for your new picture to be visible on Trustpilot.
You can also remove your profile picture by clicking the button labeled Remove my picture for now.
What can I use as my picture?
As a general rule of thumb, avoid using images that contain anything offensive - such as hate speech/symbols or profanity, advertising/logos (especially if they don't belong to you), nudity and any content which may be considered unsuitable for a professional environment, or unsuitable for children to see.
If you do choose to use a photograph, we recommend choosing a nice clear image with good resolution.
Do I need a profile picture?
Not at all. If you'd prefer not to display a profile picture, you can simply choose not to upload one, or remove your existing profile picture using the steps outlined above, and we will display a gray silhouette in its place.
