Change or reset your Trustpilot user account password

Trustpilot is committed to transparency. Read the Transparency Report 2024.

Whether you’d like to change your password for security reasons, or you’ve forgotten it, we’ve made it easy for you to do so.

As of November 11, 2019, there are two different login procedures for those that signed up for Trustpilot either before or after this date.

Change your password

If you know your current password, you can simply log into your account to change it.

  1. Go to Trustpilot.com and click Log in on the top right.
  2. Click Continue with email, then click Log in after filling in your account details.
  3. Under your user icon in the top right-hand corner, select My Settings from the drop-down menu.
  4. In the Change password section, enter your current password, then enter your new password twice.
  5. Click Change password to confirm.

Your password must be at least 8 characters long and must contain at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number.

Reset your password

If you’ve forgotten your password, you'll need to switch over to our newer login procedure, which provides you with a unique four-digit verification code every time you log in instead of requiring a password. This not only prevents you from forgetting your password, but also adds a layer of security to your account.

If you prefer to keep the password log in method, and if you have forgotten your password, please bear in mind that if you click on Forgot your password? and then click on Reset Password, you will be automatically switched to the verification code log in method. Consider trying out a few other password options before clicking on Reset Password if you would like to keep the password log in method.

Trustpilot account created after November 2019

If you signed up for Trustpilot after November 11, 2019, you don’t have an account password. Instead, you'll receive a four-digit confirmation code to the email address registered on your account each time you log in. The confirmation code method not only prevents you from forgetting your password, but also adds a layer of security to your account.

  1. Go to Trustpilot.com and click Log in on the top right.
  2. You have several options: Continue with Google, Continue with Facebook, Sign in with Apple or Continue with email.

Receive your confirmation code

The below description only applies to the "Continue with email" sign in method

  1. When logging in via email, this triggers an email from us with the four-digit confirmation code.
  2. Check the inbox your account is connected to for the confirmation code email. If you don't receive it within a few minutes, check your spam folder.Trustpilot four-digit login confirmation code
  3. Copy the code from the email. Back on Trustpilot, paste the code. If typed in correctly, the code will verify and log you in automatically.
  4. If you’re having any code issues, you can always click Get a new code, to receive a new one to your email address’s inbox.
